What You'll Do: • Lead all financial operations and strategy for the DAO's multi-million dollar treasury • Oversee portfolio management, risk assessment, and capital allocation decisions • Develop and implement comprehensive financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes • Manage relationships with external partners, auditors, and regulatory bodies • Design and optimize treasury management strategies across multiple blockchains • Lead financial due diligence for potential investments and partnerships • Establish robust financial controls, reporting systems, and compliance frameworks • Build and manage the finance team as the organization scales • Present financial performance and strategic recommendations to DAO governance • Navigate evolving crypto regulatory landscape and ensure compliance
Required Qualifications: • 8+ years of senior finance experience, with 3+ years in crypto/DeFi/blockchain • CPA, CFA, or equivalent professional certification preferred • Proven track record in treasury management, preferably with crypto assets • Deep understanding of DeFi protocols, yield strategies, and tokenomics • Experience with multi-sig wallets, on-chain treasury management, and DAO governance • Strong leadership experience building and managing finance teams • Expertise in financial modeling, risk management, and portfolio optimization • Knowledge of crypto accounting standards and regulatory requirements • Excellent communication skills for presenting to diverse stakeholders • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA preferred Bonus Points: • Previous experience as CFO or Head of Finance at a crypto/DeFi company • Experience with DAO governance and community-driven decision making • Knowledge of smart contract auditing and security best practices • Relationships with crypto-native service providers (auditors, legal, tax) • Active participation in DeFi protocols and yield farming • Understanding of MEV, arbitrage, and advanced DeFi strategies
