1. Lead ETC’s migration to a modular client architecture, enabling plugin-based logic and leveraging upstream Ethereum improvements; 2. Develop a Proof-of-Work consensus engine via Engine API, decoupling consensus from execution; 3. Implement key execution-layer EIPs (Cancun/Prague-related): EIP-1153, EIP-5656, EIP-6780, plus supplemental Prague items (EIP-2935, EIP-2537, EIP-7702); 4. Integrate a delayed basefee mechanism aligned with EIP-1559 while preserving ETC’s monetary model; 5. Build and maintain testnets, CI/CD pipelines, and developer tooling to improve developer experience and protocol safety; 6. Collaborate closely with ETC Cooperative engineers, providing weekly progress updates and monthly reports to BITMAIN; 7. Maintain at least 3 hours daily overlap with GMT-3 working hours. 1. Bachelor’s degree or above; 3+ years blockchain development experience; 2. Proficiency in Go, Rust, or C++ with strong blockchain protocol development expertise; 3. Deep knowledge of Ethereum/EVM internals and Proof-of-Work consensus; 4. Experience contributing to blockchain clients (e.g., Geth, Nethermind, Erigon); 5. Familiarity with execution-layer EIPs and their implementation; 6. Self-driven, problem-solving mindset, strong team collaboration skills; 7. Experience with CI/CD or developer tooling is a plus; 8. Prior open-source contributions are highly valued; 9. Fluent in English and Chinese (bilingual, both required for daily work).
