Responsibilities ● Develop a personalized research process that involves qualitative and quantitative analysis to identify the latest industry trends, market changes, and new innovations across blockchain industry ● Conduct deep-dive research on topics like L1s, L2s, monolithic vs. modular blockchains, existing and new dApps, and much more ● Communicate with our internal and external audience through emails, telegram channels, blog posts, twitter threads, and other mediums about the state of the crypto industry and where it is moving ● Work with data using Excel/SQL/Python/etc to form analyses and explain them in charts and other data visualizations that are digestible ● Wear many hats, contribute to many projects, and adapt to the needs of the team at a fast growing organization ● Working with the investment team on due diligence of prospective investments
Qualifications ● Undergraduate degree or above with 0-4 years of experience; technical background (e.g. computer science, electrical engineering) strongly preferred; professional proficiency in English is a must ● Solid understanding of crypto-economics and blockchain technologies generally ● Prior venture capital or blockchain research experience preferred ● Ability to swiftly understand complex topics and work independently in a fast-paced environment ● Ability to write long-form reports and short-form threads about different crypto narratives and ideas in a way that is clear, accurate, and can be understood by the general public ● Capable of working with data using SQL or Python, or the desire to learn ● Familiarity with different tools and data sources as part of the research process ● Willingness and enthusiasm to learn new topics and be dynamic in a rapidly evolving space Company Description OP Ventures Fund I is a $50mm+ venture fund dedicated to supporting early stage (pre-seed and seed) projects across the Web 3.0 space, including DeFi, Metaverse/GameFi, DAOs, and infrastructure layers.
